Hello, my name is Daniel, and I currently serve as the president of the Toronto Association of the Deaf.
TAD was incorporated in 1937 as a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the interests of the Deaf community.
TAD’s goal is to attract diverse members and provide workshops, services, and programs to ensure accessibility and equality for all Deaf individuals.
As the board members’ terms (excluding the president) have recently been completed, TAD is now recruiting to fill these board positions.
We are looking for committed individuals within the Deaf community who possess both knowledge and a willingness to play significant roles in preserving, promoting, inspiring, culture, language, and identities of Deaf people by joining a TAD board member.
If you are motivated to contribute as a Board member, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:
All candidates must be current TAD members. If you aren’t a member, kindly reach out to treasurer@deaftoronto.ca for information on TAD membership. The price of TAD membership is only $12 per year.
Knowledge of Deaf culture.
Commit your time and energy.
Attend the TAD board meeting once a month.

Also, we would like to encourage you to include a brief ASL video introducing yourself and highlighting your skills.
