Apart from enjoying discounts at sporting and social events, as a member you're also entitled to a vote on a number of issues raised at TAD membership meetings. This means you have a say on the direction and shape of the organization.

To become a member you need only pay an bi-annual membership fee of $20 and reside within Ontario. The membership process generally involves endorsement by other members, but if you lack endorsement you may still become a member upon completing a four month probationary membership period.
